Splendid Pangong

Pangong Lake : This breathtaking valley opens up backing onto Karakoram Mountains. Most of the valley floor is covered by the gently ripping waters of PangongTso. This lake is 134 kms long and 5 kms wide. 47% of the length of the lake lies in India and rest in Tibet. The lake is brackish with minerals salts. During the winter lake freezes completely, despite being saline water.

Day 01: Arrive Leh
Arrive Leh, transfer to Hotel. Day is at rest for acclimatization. Evening, walk around the Leh Bazar.Overnight at Hotel Ladakh Palace . (3500m)

Day 02: Excursion to Hall of Fame - Pathar Sahib (Gurudwara) - Magnetic Hill - Sangam
Post breakfast, Excursion tour to Sangam (confluence of Indus and Zanskar River). En route visit Hall of Fame (Kargil war hero Museum), Pathar Sahib (Gurudwara) built in the memory of Guru Nanak in 1517AD. Later drive back to Leh. Post Lunch visit Shanti Stupa, Samkar monastery and Leh Palace. Evening explore Leh market. Overnight stay at Hotel Ladakh Palace .

Day 03: Drive Leh – Shey – Thiksey – Stok Palace– Leh
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Stok (14 km) by crossing Indus River over a Bridge at Choglamsar. Visit the Stok Palace. This Palace built in 1825 by King TsespalTundupNamgyal. Great collection of Royal dresses, Armor, statues and Thangkas (Scroll paintings). After the visit, drive to Shey, ancient capital of first King (LachenSpalgygon) of Ladakh. Visit Shey Palace and other gompas and then drive back to Leh. Overnight at Hotel Ladakh Palace . (3500 m)

Day 04: Drive Leh – Pangong Lake – Leh (149 kms one way)
Early morning drive to Pangong Lake 149 km from Leh. Today you cross Chang-la (The world's third highest motorable road in the world 5360 m). On the way, you enjoy awe inspiring amazing view of charming villages, beautiful mountains, animals like Yaks and marmots, nomads and Chanthang valley. Arrive at Lake, the Lake is 136 km long and 5-10 km wide, 47% of this lake is in India and rest is in Tibet. The view of lake is spectacular and breathtaking. Spend few hours there while overwhelming, captivating the beauty of nature and later on drive back to Leh. Overnight at Hotel  Ladakh Palace . (3500m)

Day 05: Drive Leh - Khardung-La top (5602 m) - Leh (39 kms one way)
Post breakfast, drive to khardung-La top (world's highest motorable pass -18380ft). En route awesome and spectacular view of Indus valley landscape, high snow clad peaks of Greater Himalaya. Later drive back to Leh. Overnight stay at Hotel Ladakh Palace .

Day 06: Flight Leh – Delhi
Early morning transfer to airport to fly back to Delhi with sweet memories of Ladakh.
